Baysbrown Farm Campsite is 7 miles from Ambleside in the village of Chapel Stile at the entrance to the stunning Great Langdale Valley.

⚠️ IMPORTANT ACCESS INFORMATION
Temporary road closure – access to Baysbrown Farm Campsite
Westmorland and Furness Council have completely closed the usual access to our campsite due to a collapsing retaining wall on the road above the lane.
The lane is currently impassable to both vehicles and pedestrians, so unfortunately there is no access this way. A temporary footpath diversion will be put in place later today.
We are still OPEN as usual, but access to the campsite is currently via an alternative route. This is approximately one mile of tarmac road with very few passing places.
Please drive slowly and carefully, as you may encounter oncoming traffic along the route.
We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Unfortunately, the road closure and resulting access arrangements are completely outside our control, and there is currently no other route into the campsite.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
