Welcome to Baysbrown Farm Campsite, our family run campsite in the beautiful Langdale Valley.

We keep camping simple and informal. There are no allocated pitches and we don’t take bookings – just turn up, check in and choose your own spot on the field.

Baysbrown is a working Lakeland farm, and we’re proud to offer a traditional camping experience in one of the most beautiful parts of the Lake District.

There are walks for all abilities right from the campsite, as well as climbing, cycling and plenty of places to explore.

If you enjoy getting outside and don’t need lots of extras, Baysbrown makes a great base for exploring the valley.

A beautiful setting

Camp beneath the Langdale mountains, surrounded by some of the finest scenery.

Plenty of space

We have a large grass camping field with no marked pitches, so you can choose where you’d like to camp.

Basic facilities

We have toilets, showers, washing-up facilities, drinking water and bins. A freezer is available for icepacks. There is a charging station for phones and power banks which requires £1 coins. A hairdryer point can be found in the Ladies shower block which requires 50p pieces.
